Samhain Voodoo Doll Free Crochet Pattern

Hello! It's Halloween-time and I have a new, free and fun pattern for ya'll! A few years ago, my nephew, Zia asked me to make him a doll inspired by a character from one of his favorite movies. The actual character is very scary looking but I wanted Zia's doll to be adorable, not scary. I started with my Fibro Voodoo Doll pattern and changed a few things. I made his head larger and by adding 18mm safety eyes and expressive eye brows, the doll turned out sad but adorable and Zia loves him. He's a lot of fun to make and I think he is the perfect Halloween doll! Scroll down for the free pattern.

A Star For Kayla's Birthday

Hello! If you have followed me for awhile then you know about my sister Kayla and Kayla's Stars. My sister passed away unexpectedly a couple of years ago. I asked all of my followers to crochet stars and we had stars sent in from all over the world. We hung 1,118 stars in the tree in my parents front yard for Kayla's 21st birthday. It was a wonderful experience and so beautiful to see all of the stars hanging in that tree. It's one of the most amazing things that I have organized in my entire life and I will never forget it. Thank you again to everyone that sent in stars. They are still being used too. I used some on my Christmas tree and I have a special surprise for the rest of them. I will share as soon as I can. For more about Kayla's Stars and a video of the stars hanging in the tree, click here.

VLOG: Sunset, Time Lapse and Subway

Hello! Recently I've been learning how to make time lapses with my Nikon D5100. I have loved photography since I was a little girl and I am loving how neat time lapses are! My first time lapse was the other day and I made short clips of the clouds. It was a beautiful day and the sky was a brilliant blue so the clouds were really pretty. Look out for those short time lapses in a future video, very soon! Yesterday we decided to go up the mountain and try to get a sunset time lapse with the mountains in the background, but we were a little late so we stopped at a picnic area and had some dinner and I practiced with the sun setting behind some trees. The sun had mostly set already, but I think the time lapses I got are pretty. Scroll down for the vlog.
