diy Pom Pom Panda Ears

Hello! It's October and Halloween is getting close and I've been a little obsessed with pom poms lately (click here for a video tutorial on how to make a pom pom sweater) so I have a little surprise for ya'll! I'm doing a little series on Pom Pom Projects For Halloween and the first video tutorial is on how to make these cute and easy to make panda ears! Stay tuned for more pom pom project video tutorials. Scroll down for the written instructions and the video tutorial.

Pom Pom Panda Ears

Materials

- Black yarn (Worsted weight)
- Scissors
- Headband
- Pom Pom maker
- Hot glue and glue gun
- Optional: chalk

Directions

Open the pom pom maker and wind yarn around one side until you can barely close it.

Close it and cut the yarn.

Wind yarn around the other side of the pom pom maker. Wrap yarn around until you have a thin layer of yarn.

Close it and cut the yarn.

Place the scissors in the gap around the pom pom maker and cut the yarn all the way around.

Cut a piece of yarn and place it in the gap around the pom pom maker. Pull the ends very tight and tie into a knot. Make sure to tie the yarn on the side that has less yarn.

Open the pom pom maker and slide the pom pom out. (make 2)

Hold the pom pom by the ties and make sure the side with less yarn is on the bottom. This makes it easier to have a flat bottom for attaching to the headband.

Take scissors and shape into a panda ear and trim the bottom if needed to flatten it out more. Do this to both pom poms.

If you would like, take chalk and mark the headband where you would like the panda ears to go.

Take an ear, cut the tie off, spread open the pom pom where the tie was and squirt in some hot glue and then press firmly to the headband. Do this to both ears.

Trim the ears more if needed.

The End!

I hope ya'll love these panda ears! I think they are so cute and so quick and easy to make! If you make your own panda ears, post picture to my facebook page, private facebook group or tag me on instagram.

I hope ya'll are having a wonderful day!
