Hello! This is Buggy The Frog! He is a cute little guy with huge bug eyes. He has a big, happy grin and his measuring tape "tongue" can catch flies all day long. He is a quick and fun little project that uses very little yarn. I think Buggy is a great addition to any crocheters or knitters yarn bag. Scroll down for the free pattern.

The Pattern
Worked in a spiral using a stitch marker to mark the beginning of each round.
with green:
R1: Make a loose slip knot and ch 1. Put 6 sc into the loose slip knot. Pull on the tail end to close the hole. =6
R2: 2sc into each stitch around. =12
R3: *2sc into the next stitch, sc into the next stitch. Repeat from the star around. =18
R4: *2sc into the next stitch, sc into the next 2 stitches. Repeat from the star around. =24
R5: *2sc into the next stitch, sc into the next 3 stitches. Repeat from the star around. =30
R6: *2sc into the next stitch, sc into the next 4 stitches. Repeat from the star around. =36
R7: *2sc into the next stitch, sc into the next 5 stitches. Repeat from the star around. =42
Cut the yarn and weave in the ends, but leave one tail long enough to sew the 2 bodies together.
The Eyes (make 2)
with black:
R1: Make a loose slip knot and ch 1. Put 8 sc into the loose slip knot, but make a color change to white in the last stitch. Pull on the tail end to close the hole. =8
R2: 2hdc into the next 3 stitches, sl st into the next 5 stitches. Sl st to the first hdc of the round.
Weave in the ends and sew to the right side on one of the crocheted heads.
Sandwich the two heads with the measuring tape between. Sew the two heads together but leave a small opening for the measuring tape tongue to come out of.
Embroider a smile.
The End!
