Sheep Measuring Tape Cover Free Pattern!

Hello! This is Googly The Sheep! She is named after her big beautiful googly eyes. She is shaped like a cloud with the measuring tape as her "tail". She also has a little bit of white hair on her little head and she is adorable! She is also quick to make and doesn't take much yarn. I think Googly is perfect as a measuring tape cover, I love her! Scroll on down for the free pattern.

The Pattern
Worked in a spiral using a stitch marker to mark the beginning of each round.

The Body (make 2)
with white:

R1: Make a loose slip knot and ch 1. Put 8 sc into the loose slip knot. Pull on the tail end to close the hole. =8
R2: 2sc into each stitch around. =16
R3: *2sc into the next stitch, sc into the next stitch. Repeat from the star around. =24

Cut the yarn and weave in the ends. Leave one tail long enough to sew the 2 bodies together.

The Head (make 1)
with black:

R1: Make a loose slip knot and ch 1. Put 8 sc into the loose slip knot. Pull on the tail end to close the hole. =8
R2: 2sc into the next 4 stitches but make a color change to white in the last stitch. 2hdc, sl st into the next 4 stitches. Cut the yarn and pull the tail through. Weave in the ends but leave one tail long enough to sew the head to the body.

The Ears (make 2)
with black:

R1: Make a loose slip knot and ch 1. Put a dc, ch 2, and sl st into the loose slip knot. Pull on the tail end to close the hole. Cut the yarn, sew to the head and weave in the ends.

Sew the head to the right side of one of the crocheted bodies. Sandwich the two bodies with the measuring tape in the middle and sew the 2 bodies together leaving a small opening for the measuring tape "tail" to come out. Glue on the googly eyes.

The End!
