This pattern was inspired by my fall nails that I painted last week. If you have been following me on social media, you will know that I have started painting my own press-ons after 6 years of doing my own gel nails. For me, with my Lupus, they are definitely healthier because I never have to put my hand in the uv lamp.
Since fall has arrived, I decided to paint some fall inspired nails. With the almond shaped nails and the shape of the pumpkin, it reminded me of hearts and I wondered what.a crocheted heart pumpkin would look like.
I used Sugar N Cream cotton yarn and a size 5.00 mm Furls crochet hook and after a few attempts, I think it turned out so cute! I'm definitely turning mine into magnets.

- ch: chain
- hdc: half double crochet
- dc: double crochet
- tc: triple crochet
- sl st: slip stitch

The heart pumpkin pattern can be worked with any weight yarn and the appropriate crochet hook but the finished size will be different.

Start with orange:
R1: Make a magic ring or a loose slip knot, ch 1 and put (3 dc, 3 hdc, tc, 3 hdc, 3 dc but make a color change to green in the last dc and sl st) into the center. ch 2 with green, insert the hook into the 2nd ch from the hook, yo with brown and finish the sl st, sl st into the center with brown and ch 2 or 3, depending on how long you would like the stem.
Pull on the tail end to close the center.
Cut the yarn, pull the tail end through the last stitch and weave in the ends.
