2/2 RC and 2/2 LC In Tunisian Crochet

Hello! Today I have a new tutorial for you all! The 2/2 RC and the 2/2 LC can be used to create simple or intricate cables. These simple cables are easy to create but they can be used to add beautiful textures to your tunisian crochet projects. Scroll down for the video tutorial and the written instructions.



The 2/2 RC or right cross and the 2/2 LC or left cross, span over 4 stitches long and can be created with a second crochet hook or with a cable stitch holder and I have both versions for you all today!

TOOLS USED

  • Size L 8.00 mm tunisian hook by Clover
  • Clover Cable Stitch Holder
    • or second crochet hook similar in size to the main hook

2/2 RC And 2/2 LC



THE 2/2 RC OR RIGHT CROSS

This cable is 4 stitches long.

Multiple of 4+2.

Written Instructions:

Method 1: With A Cable Stitch Holder

  1. Tunisian Knit Stitch into the next 2 stitches. Slide these stitches off the hook and onto the cable stitch holder and hold in back.
  2. Tunisian Knit Stitch into the next 2 stitches with the hook.
  3. Slide the stitches from the cable stitch holder to the hook.
Method 2: With A Second Crochet Hook
  1. Drop the main hook and use the second hook to Tunisian Knit Stitch into the next 2 stitches and hold in back.
  2. Use the main hook to Tunisian Knit Stitch into the next 2 stitches.
  3. Slide the stitches off the second hook and onto the main hook.
THE 2/2 LC OR LEFT CROSS

This cable is 4 stitches long.

Multiple of 4+2.

Written Instructions:

  1. Tunisian Knit Stitch into the next 2 stitches. Slide these stitches off the hook and onto the cable stitch holder and hold in front.
  2. Tunisian Knit Stitch into the next 2 stitches with the hook.
  3. Slide the stitches from the cable stitch holder to the hook.
Method 2: With A Second Crochet Hook
  1. Drop the main hook and use the second hook to Tunisian Knit Stitch into the next 2 stitches and hold in front.
  2. Use the main hook to Tunisian Knit Stitch into the next 2 stitches.
  3. Slide the stitches off the second hook and onto the main hook.
