Amigurumi Star Free Crochet Pattern!

Hello! Today I have a new free pattern for ya'll! I've been crocheting stars lately and today I thought that I would crochet an amigurumi star. Scroll down for the free pattern.

If you have followed me for awhile, you will know that I lost my sister Kayla a few years ago. She was a very special soul that brightened everyone's life that knew her. After she passed, I came up with the idea to crochet stars, as many as I could, to decorate the tree in my dad's front yard for her birthday. I hated the thought that we wouldn't be celebrating her 21st birthday with her. I was so surprised and delighted when people from all of the world joined in and together we crocheted 1,118 stars and hung them in the tree on July 13, 2015.

Our family gathered around it and it was an amazing sight. So many stars hanging in the tree for our Kayla. Since then I crochet 1 star and hang it in the tree on her birthday, but this year I wanted to do something extra special. Her birthday is on July 13th and when I saw that #the100dayproject on instagram ended just 2 days before her birthday, I knew I had to join and I decided that I would start 2 days late so that mine will end on her birthday. I will crochet a star everyday and on her birthday I will hang 1 star in her tree and my family and I will pass out and leave 99 stars with inspirational quotes for people to find. Follow me on Instagram or Facebook to keep up with #100daysofkaylasstars for #the100dayproject. For the full blog post on Kayla's Stars, click here.
