My Contribution To A Yarnbomb And World Record Attempt

I found out about a wonderful event from one of my followers on my facebook page. She sent me this poster and told me to email them and I did.

This event is for the children at Little Havens Hospice. The Craft Club wants to make the garden a magical place filled with crocheted woodland creatures, goblins, fairies, flowers, trolls, mushrooms, candies, and more. The theme of this yarnbomb is Enid Blyton’s The Magic Faraway Tree Stories. They are also hoping to break the world record for the largest display of crocheted sculptures. They need over 4061 items to make it and I was so thrilled I was asked to be a part of it. I wasn’t able to send or crochet as much as I wanted to and I had to send them all the way to the UK, but I did manage to make a Mellow Mushroom, Pixie Fairy, 5 flowers, and 3 leaves. I sent them last Thursday and I can’t wait for them to get there! This event will take place on August 25, 2014 and I really hope they reach their goal!

The Mellow Mushroom was my first pattern that I published on ravelry and it is a free pattern:

The Pixie Fairy is my second pattern that I have published on ravelry and it is a free pattern too:

If you have any questions about these patterns, please email me.

UPDATE: 9/14/2014

I can't believe so many people took part in this and it became so huge, The Craft Club did a wonderful job!!!

This is just one of the photos that The Craft Club shared and looky, it's my little Pixie Fairy hiding in the garden waiting on one of the little children to pick her to take her home.
